ASCL's elected national representatives

ASCL Council is made up of member representatives elected regionally and nationally. Following the call for members to stand for eight national Council posts, eight nominations were received. Therefore no election was required and we are pleased to announce the following members will start terms as national Council representatives in September 2011.

  • David Trace, Head, Ramsey Grammar School
  • Kevin Harper, Deputy, Ridgeway School
  • Peter Campling, Head, Deptford Green School
  • Roger Leighton, Head, Sydney Russell School
  • Sandy Woodcock, Business Manager, Ribston Hall High School
  • Stuart Woods, Assistant Head, Petersfield School

The newly elected FE representative is John Abbott, Director of Curriculum and Quality, Richard Huish Sixth Form College. Representing the independent sector will be Guy Sanderson, Deputy, Reigate Grammar School.

We are also delighted that vice president Joan McVittie has been elected unopposed and is now president elect for 2011-12. Joan is head of Woodside High School in north London.
